Every year, Coastal Radio teams up with Blackpool Council and local businesses to celebrate the people who quietly hold our communities together: the carers, the volunteers, the neighbours who always show up. The Local Hero Awards are back for 2026, with 24 categories covering everything from bravery to charity work, including two brand-new awards this year.
